Recap: 24 Hour Peace Wave

The 24-hour Peace Wave was a one-of-a-kind global rally for Peace and cooperation around the clock, with twenty-four non-stop hours of protests, demonstrations, vigils, teach-ins, speakers, discussion rounds, music, and art from all around the world. The event was recorded and livestreamed simultaneously, moving West around the globe from 2:00pm in the UK on June 25th to 4:00pm in Ukraine on June 26th. The participants had the opportunity to choose between various sessions to join, depending on which part of the world they were in at the time of the event.

Celebrating the Life and Work of Bruce Kent

Bruce Kent was an internationally-known peace activist and a real peace hero who, even in his final years, remained an active campaigner and organizer for peace and human rights. In addition to his role as President of the International Peace Bureau from 1985 to 1992, he was an ordained  Catholic Priest in the Diocese of Westminster in London and was active with a number of peace organizations, including CND, Pax Christi, War on Want, the European Nuclear Disarmament Campaign and Movement for the Abolition of War (which he co-founded in 2001).

On Thursday, July 7th, we gathered to celebrate his life and work. You can watch the recording here
