The Chinese mediation that led to an Agreement between two hostile powers in the West Asia region-Saudi Arabia and Iran, came as a pleasant surprise to the world. This Agreement, where the Chinese stand as guarantors, can lead to a spillover of peace into this very conflict-ridden region.
