A worship group for Ottawa Quakers was formed in 1954. This group became a more formally recognized entity called a “Monthly Meeting” in 1958.
Ottawa Quakers have always had a Peace and Social Concerns Committee and the number of people serving varies from 4 to 8. They bring concerns to the Business Meeting of Ottawa Quakers for discernment.

History:
Headquarted in Philadelphia, United States of America, Africanist Press was established in 2002 as an independent media organization to publish commentaries on events and conditions affecting the lives of Africans around the world. We are a platform for high quality, frontline journalism on the African continent.
Peace and Conflict Science Institute
The PACS Institute was established to develop and promote interdisciplinary frameworks connecting peace studies, cognitive science, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and political science. Through scholarly research and strategic advocacy, PACS aims to provide empirically robust foundations for peace and human rights frameworks that directly inform policy and educational initiatives globally.
Stopp NATO
Stopp NATO works on Arranging meetings and demonstrations against US-bases, against war and war preparation, against NATO, information through pamfleats and articles in newspapers and on the website, information towards youth in education about NATO, military spending, nuclear threats. We cooperate with many peace organizations in Norway and across the nordic countries.
Solidarity for Peace and Reunification of Korea / 평통사 (SPARK)
Established in 1994 during the height of the first North Korean nuclear crisis, when the Korean Peninsula was on the brink of nuclear war. At this critical time, religious figures, intellectuals, and peace activists, who had long been advocating for peace and reunification, united to form a movement. The urgency to prevent nuclear war and promote peace during these tensions led to the birth of SPARK.
